Nuclear Reactors

All about radiation and its effects on the environment.

Radiation affects the environment in more ways than one. It comes naturally, and can be produced via synthetic sources.

Uranium, for instance, is an example of a natural kind of element that produces radiation. Along with that, there is beryllium, palladium, and thorium.

Plutonium, neptunium, and curium are synthetically created elements that are radioactive.

Each of these elements could be considered dangerous.

Now, aside from the elements, another source of radioactivity is through nuclear power, i.e. a nuclear reactor.
